Working people returning to Dhaka after Eid

After spending the joyful Eid holidays, residents and working people are beginning to return to their busy working lives in the capital.

From the third day of Eid, pressure on river routes heading to Dhaka has increased. Since early morning on Monday, passengers have been returning to Dhaka by various launches arriving at Sadarghat Launch Terminal from the southern regions.

This time, as the holiday period was relatively long, many working people said their return journey has been more comfortable. They expressed satisfaction at being able to spend more time with their families.

Although they are returning to the capital for their livelihood, many are relieved to have completed their journey without any hassle.

On the other hand, even on the third day of Eid, the movement of homebound travelers has not stopped. Some people, after celebrating Eid with their families in Dhaka, are now heading to their villages to visit relatives. Many said they deliberately chose to travel later to avoid the pre-Eid rush.

Although passenger movement on river routes remains normal, the Sadarghat area is still experiencing post-Eid congestion due to both incoming and outgoing travelers.
