The referendum was held because of the note of dissent: Sarwar Tushar

NCP Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar stated that the recent referendum was organized precisely because various political parties held differing opinions, or 'Notes of Dissent,' on several fundamental state issues.

In an interview with Jugantor, he explained that when political parties failed to reach a consensus, they collectively decided to seek a direct mandate from the people.

Tushar emphasized that since the public has now officially expressed their opinion through a 'Yes' vote, the outcome of the referendum must prevail over any individual party's manifesto or prior disagreements.

He urged major parties like the BNP to conceptually understand that a 'Note of Dissent' allows a process to proceed despite disagreements, and the final public verdict effectively settles those disputed matters.
