A woman of principle and integrity, uncompromising and courageous in the face of injustice, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, the "Daughter of Democracy," has endured imprisonment and persecution for the sake of justice. Her husband, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, was a devout and visionary statesman whose honesty, contribution to the Liberation War, advocacy for national sovereignty, introduction of multi-party democracy, and production-oriented politics have made him immortal in Bangladesh’s history.

Following in the footsteps of his parents, Tarique Rahman, the Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has emerged as a mature and accomplished politician. He is seen by the people as a pillar of hope and confidence, walking steadfastly on the path set by his father and mother to rebuild the nation. His visionary 31-point reform plan has rekindled people’s dream for a new Bangladesh. At a time overshadowed by darkness, uncertainty, and conspiracies, Tarique Rahman’s 31 points have become a symbol of trust and renewal. If implemented, they could free the people from 53 years of disillusionment.

BNP leaders and activists must work in a disciplined and organized manner to take these 31 points to every household. They should engage even the indifferent citizens, explaining the vision embedded in Tarique Rahman’s manifesto. Only then will the true benefit be realized. Meanwhile, a rival political group—posing as BNP sympathizers—is reportedly trying to undermine Tarique Rahman’s plans by spreading obscene videos and malicious propaganda through hired media operators. Their aim is to weaken BNP and its leadership, but Tarique Rahman’s humility, strategic political acumen, and methodical planning continue to outmatch these unethical attempts.

Through his analysis of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman’s 19 points, Tarique Rahman has formulated his 31 points to strengthen production-oriented politics. His plans provide clear directions for democracy, the economy, education, environment, and human rights. The upcoming national election is not merely a political contest—it represents a critical chapter for the future development and stability of Bangladesh.

Tarique Rahman envisions a political culture where leaders earn respect and joy from citizens—not fear. Since September 1, 1978, the BNP, founded by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, has upheld the spirit of national development. Under the uncompromising leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia, the party has maintained its influence in national politics. Tarique Rahman’s honesty and positive outlook have earned widespread acceptance, making him a promising future statesman.

His contributions toward building a secular, democratic, and inclusive Bangladesh are invaluable. His leadership in the upcoming election is expected to set new benchmarks in democratic management, economic reform, and social stability. BNP’s initiatives in industrial expansion, agricultural modernization, remittance growth, and strengthening of the private sector remain notable. Given its long political and administrative experience, BNP stands as a more capable governing alternative than any other party.

Tarique Rahman’s commitment to the youth is deeply rooted in his policies. One-third of Bangladesh’s population is young—and they eagerly await his leadership. His plans for employment, skill-based education, IT sector growth, sports, and cultural advancement aim to transform the youth into a national asset.

He upholds the principles of multi-party democracy, an independent judiciary, and press freedom. His 31-point state repair agenda presents a roadmap for positive national transformation. He believes in equal rights for all religious communities and vows to preserve Bangladesh as a beacon of communal harmony.

Despite the organizational challenges of prolonged opposition politics, Tarique Rahman recognizes the need to strengthen BNP’s digital outreach, technological strategy, and internal unity. He is focused on creating a single, strong decision-making framework within the party.

In terms of foreign policy, BNP has always maintained dignified international relations. Tarique Rahman believes in mutual respect and balanced engagement with India, China, the United States, the European Union, and the Muslim world.

He has faith that social justice, good governance, transparent elections, reduced corruption, rule of law, and human rights protection can restore people’s trust in politics.

Despite ongoing propaganda and false allegations from political opponents, Tarique Rahman has demonstrated remarkable composure. He has modernized BNP’s communication and media strategy to strengthen its public image.

Addressing global challenges such as the Russia-Ukraine war, market instability, and climate change, Tarique Rahman has emphasized resilient economic policies. His vision for rapid youth employment, technology adoption, and modern education reform aims to meet the aspirations of the new generation.

He has urged BNP activists to conduct peaceful pre-election campaigns, clearly communicate the party’s manifesto, and share positive messages across digital platforms.

Tarique Rahman also called for a transparent and accountable administration, a truly independent Election Commission, and a strong judiciary. His long-term development goals prioritize the inclusion of youth, women, and marginalized groups.

He envisions Bangladesh as a secular, democratic, and emerging economic power, driven by experienced leadership, clear direction, and popular support. BNP, with its democratic values and development-oriented policies, seeks to guide the nation toward a prosperous future. Despite challenges, Tarique Rahman believes they can be overcome with the right leadership and vision.

In his words, BNP must become an inclusive, responsible, and development-focused political party to shape Bangladesh’s future.

He has issued a strict directive against extortion, land-grabbing, tender manipulation, and corrupt party practices, warning that anyone involved will be expelled and face disciplinary action.

According to sources in London, Tarique Rahman is preparing to return home soon, after 17 years in exile. The upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election is expected to mark a turning point, with young, educated, polite, and dedicated candidates taking prominence. Loyal members who have worked selflessly for the party without seeking positions will also be recognized.

Women are likely to receive greater representation, and a special BNP committee along with intelligence agencies are actively evaluating candidates to prevent election-related corruption. Tarique Rahman himself is personally monitoring the process from London.

His return to Bangladesh is expected to reinvigorate the party and restore discipline among leaders and speakers. The people of Bangladesh eagerly await their beloved leader’s homecoming.
