In a chilling update to the Kapasia mass murder case, police have identified the victims as the wife, three young daughters, and the brother-in-law of a private car driver named Forkan Mia. The bodies were discovered on Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, in a rented house in Rautkona village.

According to Gazipur SP Md. Sharif Uddin, the victims were found with their throats slit, with the wife’s body tied to a window. Forkan Mia, originally from Gopalganj, is the prime suspect and is currently absconding.

Police believe the murders may have stemmed from a domestic dispute and have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
