Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed announced on Saturday (March 28) at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah that police members are dissatisfied with their current uniforms. He assured that the government is in high-level discussions to introduce a more dignified and traditional uniform that aligns with the force's heritage. The Minister emphasized that the current administration views the police not as a tool for any political party, but as a friend of the people, and is working toward establishing an independent Police Reform Commission to transform the force into a modern, humane service provider. Addressing newly commissioned officers of the 43rd BCS, he urged them to uphold honesty and professionalism while adapting to the digital era to combat cybercrime effectively in the country's changing political landscape.
