At least 12 U.S. service members were injured, two critically, following a massive Iranian missile and drone strike on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia.
According to reports from Reuters and CBS News, Iran utilized a synchronized barrage of ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones targeting U.S. living quarters and strategic installations.
Since the commencement of the conflict on February 28, the total number of injured U.S. personnel has risen to 300, with 13 fatalities reported to date. Satellite imagery revealed significant damage to the base's runway and infrastructure, prompting a high-alert status for all U.S. bases across the Middle East.
While the Pentagon evaluates the effectiveness of the Patriot missile defense systems during the attack, Washington is reportedly preparing a stern response to this latest escalation by Tehran.
