Saleh Ahmed made the announcement while speaking to journalists after a meeting of the Government Procurement Advisory Council Committee on Monday.
He described the country’s political environment as “satisfactory” and “set to become even more stable,” assuring that all expenses required for Hadi’s treatment abroad will be provided by the Ministry of Finance
One of the leaders of the July Uprising and a prospective independent candidate for the upcoming national election from Dhaka-8, Hadi was shot and critically injured on Box Culvert Road in the capital’s Paltan area on 12 December.
He sustained bullet injuries to the head and was initially taken to DMCH, where he underwent surgery, before being transferred to Evercare Hospital later that night. Doctors said his condition remains “critical”.
